What is the LWML you might ask?\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>

The Lutheran Women\u2019s Missionary League. \u00a0<\/b><\/h3>

Our mission statement is:<\/b><\/h3>

As Lutheran Women in Mission, we joyfully proclaim Christ, support missions and equip women to honor God by servings others.<\/b><\/h3>

Our Motto is:\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>

Serve the Lord with gladness (Psalm 100.2)<\/b><\/h3>

We usually meet monthly on the first Saturday of each month at 10:30 am in the fellowship hall.\u00a0<\/b><\/b><\/h3>

The LWML ladies have a new mission project.\u00a0 <\/span>I love it. It sounds exciting and exactly what Lutheran Women in Mission means.\u00a0 <\/span>We are starting a card ministry.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m not going to give much information on this, hopefully one or more of you will be surprised by this mission.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Ladies who would like to contribute greeting cards toward this mission, a clear plastic box has been placed on the file cabinet adjacent to the photocopier, or you can give them to me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

As we are getting ready for fall and the holiday season we will be starting our Samaritan Purse shoe box project.\u00a0 <\/span>A display and the shoe boxes will be in the church by the end of September.\u00a0 <\/span>Dwayne and I were privileged to attend a workshop on this project and were totally amazed and impressed by the spiritual work this organization does.\u00a0 <\/span>Lets try and fill 45 boxes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

October is Volunteer and Pastor recognition month.\u00a0 <\/span>With no Pastor, please remember our Elders are volunteers also.\u00a0 <\/span>A special service and cake will be provided on Sunday, October 5th.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The annual Fall Celebration will be at Lamb of God Lutheran Church on Jones Blvd. in Las Vegas.\u00a0 <\/span>The celebration is Oct. 18th, @ 9 am -1:30 pm, with a cost of $8.00 per participate.\u00a0 <\/span>A flyer is up on the LWML bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.\u00a0 <\/span>If you\u2019re not planning on attending there is a box in the fellowship hall for your donation to HELP of So. Nevada.\u00a0 <\/span>Please be generous, they are looking for new socks, underwear, gloves, mittens and blankets.\u00a0 <\/span>Thank you in advance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We have some talented ladies who showed off their talents at the Iron County Fair.\u00a0 <\/span>
